Western States Cat hires, develops and trains service technicians, not mechanics. Why technicians? The term “mechanic” does not accurately reflect our people or our jobs. By design, Western States Cat’s workforce is comprised of the best-qualified individuals possible, and our technicians are the key to successfully meeting Western States Cat’s high quality, technical customer standards. Our technicians are experts in their fields and perform a variety of essential skills. We provide ongoing training because it is a crucial link to today’s technologically advanced engines and machines. Technician service skill sets include diesel technology, computer diagnostics, advanced troubleshooting, electro-hydraulic systems and electronics.

Our company maintains four full-time trainers and three full-time technical communicators to ensure customers and employees get thebest availableinformation to enhance and support the value that accompanies buying Caterpillar products.
