OPERATORS RISE TO THE CHALLENGE
The Meridian Western States team was thrilled to host the September technology event on Sept. 12, which drew visitors and participants from across the region. There was something for everyone: displays and demonstrations of new products, a barbecue lunch, and the much-anticipated equipment operator Challenge.
The Operator Challenge provided an opportunity for equipment operators to put their skills to the test against the best in our territory. The competitors needed to complete four tasks, each of which featured different machines and required varying levels of skill and finesse. Our 1st place winner, Martin Bills with Bills Construction, will travel to North Carolina for the North American Regional Finals in October to face off for the Global Operator Challenge hosted in Las Vegas in 2020.
In addition to the Operator Challenge, we had a full display of all product support needs necessary to keep our customers’ fleets in tiptop shape, including the 56 Jobsite Parts and Service van, SITECH, Trimble, Parts.cat.com, the Oil lab and Cat Connect, along with technology training and more.
We had an amazing time seeing so many of our customers and their stunning machine operating skills. Of course, with so many moving parts, the event would have been impossible without our volunteers.
