THE RENTAL GUIDE TO WHAT YOU NEED ON YOUR JOBSITE

Rental Equipment for Your Jobsite

What kind of rental equipment do you need for your jobsite? The Western States Rental team is here to help set you and your site up for success with the ideal machines for your application. We broke down our top three most popular job sites that our customers  rent equipment for through The Cat Rental Store to explain what each site needs and why.

1. Commercial Facilities

Commercial facilities/commercial construction is the most popular type of job site that our customers rent for. This can include hospitals, tilt ups, hotels, and commercial/industrial plazas. Commercial facilities make up about 90% of The Cat Rental Store’s operations!

To get started, these sites will typically need aerial equipment. This can be boom lifts, telehandlers (reach forklifts), or scissor lifts. These are typically used by subcontractors who are needing to get into high and hard-to-reach areas. Once you have aerial equipment covered, it’s important to consider what will be needed to complete the project. This can include landscapers and construction site clean up. For these jobs you will need skid steers or mini excavators for landscaping and dump trucks and wheel loaders for jobsite clean up.

The CAT Rental Store has everything you need for these job sites. Our website has detailed descriptions of all of our equipment that would be perfect for this type of jobsite.

2. Infrastructure

Our second most popular job site is infrastructure which includes roads, interstates, and sewer utilities. These job sites typically utilize more of our Cat gear. This can include excavators, shoring boxes, motor graders, rollers, pavers, and skid steers.

The reason that you need large earth-moving equipment for these sites is because you need to make a solid foundation or road building. This will ensure that the roads will stay supportive for many years to come. The Cat Rental Store  has a wide selection of different equipment that you can choose from when it comes to building infrastructure. 3. Residential Development

Residential development consists of residential and commercial housing. These are typically houses or multi-family apartment complexes. Residential developments and commercial facilities often require the same rental equipment. Many subcontractors on a residential development site will need aerial equipment. Framers will typically need boom lifts, roofers will need telehandlers or reach forklifts, and electrical/plumbing will typically need scissor lifts. Besides aerial equipment, heavy construction equipment will also help finish all landscaping and clean up needs.

Western States has the full line of equipment needed for all three of these job sites. Therefore, we have everything from aerial equipment to skid steers to dump trucks. You can view our inventory online here
