BE A LIGHT CHALLENGE

The Caldwell Night Rodeo in Caldwell, Idaho wanted to encourage others to do good in their communities. When they tagged us in their #BeALight campaign on social media, Western States was proud to step up to the challenge.

The purpose of the #BeALight campaign was to encourage both individuals and companies to do something to help their communities, post a photo or video of what they did on social media, and pass the challenge on. The Caldwell Night Rodeo initially started by tagging their own participants and sponsors. The challenge has spread all across our region, including businesses in Montana, eastern Idaho and Oregon.

To “be a light” in our communities and to say thank you to educators, Western States was proud to donate to four Title I schools in the Caldwell region: Ustick Elementary in Boise, Crossroads Middle School in Meridian, Central Canyon Elementary in Caldwell, and Fruitland Elementary in Fruitland.

All four schools have great plans for the donation money: projects ranging from new outdoor lunch tables and facility updates to prizes for students who demonstrate good behavior.

We’re thrilled to have been able to make a difference in our local schools. Thank you to the Caldwell Night Rodeo for kicking off a great community service opportunity!
