Cat Interact provides real‑time visibility into your work orders and services, helping ensure you know what’s happening with your machines from start to finish.

What Is Cat Interact?

Cat Interact is a digital communication tool that streamlines how Western States shares updates about your equipment service. It gives you easy access to critical information related to your work orders, inspections, and service activity—all in one place.

With Cat Interact, you can stay informed through:

  1. Real‑time updates on your machine’s service status
  2. Visibility into inspections, quotes, and estimates
  3. Access to service documents, photos, and videos

How Do I Access Cat Interact?

Access is simple. You’ll receive a link directly from the Western States workshop or field service team via text message and/or email. The link works across devices, so you can view updates on your:

  1. Phone
  2. Tablet
  3. Desktop
  4. Laptop

Tip: If you’d like to change how you receive updates, you can inform your Western States Service Advisor through the Messages tab.

Key Features at a Glance

Cat Interact organizes service information into easy‑to‑navigate sections so you can quickly find what you need.

Status Menu: The Status Menu provides a real‑time snapshot of your machine’s service progress. Key details include:

  1. Asset name, serial number, and asset ID
  2. Purchase order number and business contact
  3. Estimated completion date
  4. Work order overview
  5. Your assigned Western States Service Advisor

This view helps you understand where your equipment is in the service process at any given time.

Repair Overview Menu: The Repair Overview Menu is where you can view and manage service documentation and pricing details.

View Pre‑Contractual Pricing

You can access all approved pre‑contractual pricing, including:

  1. Quotes
  2. Estimates
  3. Pro formas

Manage Pre‑Contractual Pricing

When pricing documents are ready, you’ll receive a text or email notification with a clickable link. From there, you can:

  1. Approve an estimate, quote, or pro forma with your name and signature
  2. View and download attachments
  3. Request a call from your Western States Service Advisor

Note: The approval action shown will match the document type provided.

Service Documentation

Your Western States Service Advisor can upload materials throughout the repair process to keep you informed, including:

  1. Service documents
  2. Service photos
  3. Service videos

Upload Alerts

You’ll receive alerts via text or email when new content is uploaded. Notifications can be turned off if preferred—uploads will remain accessible even if alerts are disabled.

Inspection Menu

When a Cat Inspection Report is available, it will appear in the Inspection Menu. Simply select View Inspection to open and download the report as a PDF.

You’ll also receive a notification via text or email when a new inspection report is created.

Messages Menu: The Messages Menu centralizes all communication with your Western States Service Advisor, making it easy to stay connected.

  1. View all messages in one place
  2. Send messages directly within Cat Interact
  3. Reply via text or email using your standard messaging apps

All replies send instant notifications to your Western States Service Advisor, helping keep communication fast and efficient.

Open Work Orders: The Open Work Orders tab provides a consolidated view of all active service jobs associated with your Western States customer number.

Each work order includes:

  1. Work order number
  2. Purchase order number
  3. Asset name, ID, and serial number
  4. Current service status
  5. Service overview
  6. Service location
  7. Last updated timestamp
  8. Estimated time of completion

Select View on any work order to jump directly to detailed, real‑time updates for that asset.

Filtering Work Orders

You can easily filter and search work orders by:

  1. Work order number
  2. Purchase order number
  3. Asset
  4. Status
  5. Location

Use the Filter By panel or the search bar to quickly find what you’re looking for.
