EMPLOYEE FEATURE: BILL HAMILTON

After 25 years in the heavy equipment industry, Bill Hamilton can speak to the importance of building relationships.

Bill’s career began in 1995 working for Long Machinery, the Caterpillar dealership in Missoula prior to Western States. He later joined the Western States team, and held positions in Parts, Sales, and Rental. Bill left Western States in 2005 to work for Modern Machinery, and returned to WSECO in 2017. Today, in his position as a Construction Industry Specialist, Bill says he’s happy to re-connect with coworkers and clients.

“Getting to meet back up with a lot of employees I worked with before, and also getting to meet new employees, has been an important part of my time with Western States,” Bill said.

Outside of work, he and his family enjoy skiing, camping, fishing and hunting, as well as barbequing and spending time with their friends.

All things considered, it’s no surprise that Bill values building connections with everyone he meets.

“It’s important to get to know everyone you work with and to have a great relationship with the other departments,” he said, “To make things go smoothly, we all need to work together.”
