In honor of Women in Construction week, meet Kristina Bock, a technical trainer based out of Spokane, WA.

Kristina has held several positions at Western States: from student, to technician, to shop foreman, to her current role as technical trainer.

“I like to tell people that I got to where I am today, as a trainer, because I took all of the opportunities that Western States offered me and ran with them, “she said, “There are so many opportunities in this company; the key was accepting the right ones and having my family behind me every step of the way, whether that’s the awesome work family I have here at Western States or the family supporting me on the home front.”

Kristina has a passion for learning, and for sharing her knowledge with others. She credits her success to her early days as a technician in the Twin Falls store, where she was constantly asking questions and learning from the more experienced technicians.

“My first experience with Western States was at a Skills USA event in Meridian when I was in college. When I saw the way the employees interacted with us, and their pride in their jobs,  I knew this was the company I wanted to work for the rest of my life,” she said, “It’s been an amazing seven years for me, and I look forward to many more.”
