RIBBON CUTTING AT LIBERTY LAKE

The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce joined us at our new Liberty Lake facility for a ribbon cutting ceremony in December.

The new store, which began construction in February 2021, officially opened for business on November 14. The store hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local officials and the Chamber of Commerce one week later on the 21st.

Liberty Lake Mayor Chris Kaminskas welcomed Western States to Liberty Lake in her speech, and emphasized how excited she and the community are to have a regional company invest in Liberty Lake. Senator Mike Padden also spoke at the event, and welcomed WSECO on behalf of the state legislature.

Spokane County Commissioner Mary Kuney and Chamber President & CEO Lance Beck both spoke to the benefits of Western States’ presence in the community, especially for the next generation of heavy equipment technicians.

“At the Valley Chamber, we’re so invested in the trades as a career path. It opens up the opportunity to showcase this to our youth and show that there is a (career) track here”

“We were very proud of our Trent facility, and our facility off Broadway,” Western States President Kelly Olson said in her speech, “In both facilities we had a lot of memories and a lot of success. We’re looking forward to the next fifty, the next one hundred years in this facility—we can do it safer, with more open space that’s more conducive to the work we need to be doing in the future.”
