SPOKANE BRANCH – SUPPORTING THE SPOKANE COMMUNITY

After hosting annual fundraiser events for the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery for the last few years, the Spokane branch team was recently recognized by the non-profit for their contributions.

Since 2018, the Spokane Branch Leadership Team has hosted a store Christmas party that included raffle prizes and an auction benefitting the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery. In 2020, instead of hosting a big event and auction, Spokane employees chipped in on a monetary donation that was given directly to the nursery.

The Spokane team has donated over $10,000 to the nursery over the years. To recognize the milestone, the non-profit presented the store with the Venessa Behan Benefactor Award.

“This is something our Branch Leadership team does every year, so donating to Vanessa Behan is something our team wanted to continue to do,” said Spokane Parts Manager Joe Manning.

The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery is important to the Spokane community. Founded in 1987, the non-profit provides childcare and resources for families in crisis. Over the years, the nursery has helped more than 103,000 children and their families.

“Supporting the organization is something that we’ve been doing for the last few years as a store,” said Spokane Service Manager Tyler Weilep, “It’s been heartwarming to see so much support for such a worthy cause.”
