What is VisionLink® Technology?

VisionLink is a cloud-based platform that gathers and analyzes data about your fleet and job site wherever you are. It can be used on both mobile and desktop which provides accessible data on and off the job site. VisionLink provides a central location for machine health, maintenance updates, and productivity data. It’s compatible with a multitude of equipment brands to ensure that your entire fleet can be connected. With efficient and effective data, starting your journey with VisionLink is a no-brainer! What are all of the capabilities?

• Full fleet management: After connecting all of your machines, regardless of brand, asset type, rented or owned, you will have full access to manage your entire fleet.  All of your machines will connect to VisionLink and you can access their data on either the mobile or the desktop version. VisionLink offers a single solution to managing your entire fleet. 
• Maintenance Notifications: VisionLink technology has a multitude of maintenance management capabilities. It tracks when your last maintenance occurred and alerts you when you need to schedule a new one while also including contact information for your nearest Cat dealership. VisionLink also allows for easy access to buying parts with its compatibility with parts.cat.com. Overall it reduces unplanned downtime which saves money. 
• Reduced idle time and fuel burn: VisionLink monitors idle time, fuel burn, and CO2 emissions which in turn reduces cost and maximizes utilization of equipment and helps you achieve your sustainability goals. 
• Maximize uptime: VisionLink continuously monitors key factors of downtime such as fluid samples, inspection alerts and results, and fault codes. This helps prevent downtime because it identifies issues and helps plan service before small problems become major repairs.
• Get fuel level alerts: VisionLink provides alerts when fuel levels get low. There is 24/7 monitoring of fuel levels helping you better manage one of your biggest expenses. 
• Manage asset location:  Asset tracking ensures that machines are where they need to be when they need to be there. Our asset location reporting ranges from once a day to once a minute to be able to see real-time locations and receive site entry and exit alerts.
• Parts.Cat.Com: VisionLink seamlessly pairs with parts.cat.com to enable you to buy parts online within the app. VisionLink will even let you know what parts you need on parts.cat.com if any issues arise. 

Why do I need VisionLink Technology?

You need VisionLink because it gives you comprehensive and detailed data about your entire fleet, whether it is Cat brand or not. The more data you have the better decisions for you job site you can make. In the long run VisionLink can help you be more productive with your assets. It is also very versatile when it comes to the functions you want to use. Some functions are better used for supervisors who will utilize VisionLink on the desktop, however there are also mobile functions for people who are on the job site.
