VOLUNTEERING FOR THE COMMUNITY

Several Meridian employees volunteered at The Idaho Foodbank’s warehouse this month, where they helped to get donations packaged and ready to go out to families in need.

“The Western States team was amazing,” said Adrienne Smith, who works for The Idaho Foodbank, “We re-packed over 3,000 pounds of pears!”

On September 2 and 11, volunteers came together to repackage bulk donations into family-sized portions. Volunteers were assigned to help organize bulk donations of fresh produce and build mobile pantry kits.

“I remember from way back in the early 2000s when Western States first got involved with The Idaho Foodbank, I experienced the same personal family dynamic yesterday with so many laughs,” Adrienne said.

Building our local communities is what Western States is all about!
