WESTERN STATES PLANTS TREES
Western States Plants Trees at First Annual TreeCycle
On October 21st, our team came together to do some good at Kleiner Park in Meridian, Idaho. Thirty trees were planted—not as a symbolic gesture, but as a living, growing reflection of Western States’ commitment to environmental progress. Each tree represents a win: a moment where our teams made choices that reduced impact, improved efficiency, or advanced sustainability in our work.

This was the first annual Western States TreeCycle, a new initiative where we plant a tree for every environmental milestone we achieve. It’s a simple equation: when we do better for the planet, we give back to it—one tree at a time.
But TreeCycle is more than a planting event. It’s a celebration of action. It’s a way to honor the everyday decisions that add up to real change—whether it’s reducing energy use in our facilities, optimizing mobile workflows to cut down on paper, or choosing vendors who share our values. These aren’t just operational wins; they’re environmental ones.
We were honored to have the support of the City of Meridian and the Treasure Valley Canopy Network, whose partnership made this event possible. Their shared vision for a greener, more resilient community aligns with ours, and together we’re building something that lasts longer than any campaign or quarterly goal. Their expertise in urban forestry and community engagement helped ensure that each tree was planted with care and purpose.
TreeCycle isn’t about optics. It’s about ownership. Every planted tree is a reminder that sustainability isn’t a side project—it’s embedded in how we operate, how we innovate, and how we show up for the communities we serve. It’s a visible, lasting symbol of our values in action.
